TO:  All HACOM Tenants

RE:  COVID-19

Concerns about the coronavirus COVID-19 continue to rise. HACOM is monitoring reports from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and have taken a number of precautionary measures for the health and safety of our tenants, guests, staff and the community. The ongoing safety of our tenants, staff and the community remains our primary focus. To protect tenants, visitors and staff, HACOM is limiting visits to the office while there is a threat of COVID-19 transmission.

The HACOM office is located in an elderly complex, if you or your children are sick please DO NOT come to the HACOM office.  Call and make arrangements.  With our elderly population here at Hosford-Rich and at Memorial Heights at such high risk for COVID-19 it is essential that we keep all our of tenants safe.

While the risk of getting the illness remains low, people should follow simple steps to avoid getting sick, including: • Frequent and thorough handwashing with soap and water. • Cover coughs and sneezes. • Avoid touching your face. • Stay home when sick. • Practice social distancing (You should avoid public places – if you cannot stay six feet away from other people). To read the latest information about COVID-19 people can check the Dunn County Health Department Facebook Page, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) websites.

We realize that many of our family unit Tenant’s have paperwork due to turn in for annual recertifications in the next few weeks.

We are asking you to please use the drop box located at the FRONT building entrance, located just inside the first door and avoid contact with the office/staff/Hosford-Rich tenants if possible.  Use the drop box marked Housing Authority Drop Box for all correspondence.  With that being said, make sure before dropping off, you are using your check list of items needed for your recert. When dropping off bank statements, make sure you have your complete statement(s) for December 2019 as well as your most current bank statement(s).  The other item our tenants seem to be missing is located on the Green Personal Declaration sheet, above your vehicle information, HACOM now needs a copy of your vehicle registration(s) that are kept at your unit.

All items you drop off will be copied and originals returned to you at your recert appointment.  You will be contacted when your recert is complete to set an appointment time to come into the HACOM office to sign your paperwork.  Yes, you will have to come into the office to sign in person as long as you are not showing any symptoms and are not feeling sick.  The office is set up for social distancing as well as extra sanitizing and cleaning policies are in effect.

April Rent:  With April rent fast approaching please keep in mind your options for rent drop off.  You can place it in the front drop box or use the direct deposit at Westconsin Credit Union or Bremer Bank. When using Bremer put your name on your deposit ticket.  At Westconsin Credit Union your name goes in the memo.

If you are calling the HACOM office and there is no answer please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we are able.  We are a very small staff and can’t always pick up during business hours as we are assisting clients. Return calls may take longer normal.

We will continue to monitor and adjust our communications, policies and procedures to adapt to the fluctuating COVID-19 conditions.  If there is a confirmed case here and the office would need to close, the notice would be posted to our web page at www.menomoniehousing.org and also on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/HACITYOFMENOMONIE.  We sincerely appreciate your support and patience as we work together during this critical time to serve Wisconsin communities and residents.
